SuRIA Home stands for Sustainable Rebate & Incentive Assistance. It is an incentive introduced to encourage eligible domestic consumers to adopt rooftop solar under Solar ATAP.
By installing a suitable solar PV system, homeowners can generate electricity from sunlight for their homes while potentially reducing their reliance on electricity from the grid.
For eligible customers, SuRIA Home provides a one-time cash rebate based on the installed solar PV capacity, subject to the programme’s terms and conditions.

How Is the Rebate Paid?
The SuRIA Home rebate is a one-time cash rebate for eligible customers. Payment is made according to the programme’s prescribed process after the relevant requirements have been fulfilled.
Programme allocation is limited and subject to the applicable period and availability.
Who Is Eligible for SuRIA Home?
SuRIA Home is intended for eligible domestic customers participating in Solar ATAP.
Under the current programme requirements, eligibility includes criteria relating to the customer, electricity account, solar PV installation and participation in previous incentive programmes.
You may be eligible if you:
- Are a Malaysian citizen
- Are a domestic electricity customer
- Meet the applicable Solar ATAP requirements
- Install an eligible solar PV system
- Meet the current SuRIA Home programme criteria
- Have not previously received the applicable SolaRIS cash rebate
